Any fans of The Shield?

Tonight one of the best TV shows I've ever seen comes to an end... My bet, Vic gets wacked by either Ronnie because Claudette tells Ronnie that Vic has already copped a deal OR Claudette kills Vic herself in a moment of rage because he "got away with it." Regardless, me thinks Vic is a dead man walking.

no comments on the finale????

I watched it this morning and I thought it was AMAZING.

I knew Shane was going to eat his gun but taking his wife and kids with him? How many shows would do that? I was hoping that Dutch really was a serial killer... but the whole story line with the kid was a little weak. and the moment Ronnie finds out that Vic cut a deal only for himself??? I really wish that Ronnie would have been able to get to Vic and land a few punches... in the end Ronnie is the only one who goes down for all the [censored] the Strike Team pulled. You've got to think that a desk job off the streets is worse for Vic than prison... I don't think he can make it three years of doing reports.

and the scene where Claudette shows Vics the pics of Shane and his family.... Holy Shit!

here's a great link for a write up on the finale....

I DVR'd the final two episodes while I was back on the mainland and just watched both last night. When Shane was in the bathroom with his pistol, I thought he was going to go out "suicide by cop", and didn't expect him to off himself. But when they showed that he killed his family, I just sat there on the couch and mumbled out loud "Holy fucking shit!" for about five minutes straight.

I do think the story line about the kid who supposedly killed his mom was just a waste of time, as was the "Vote for me and I'll set you free" homey running for mayor. What the fuck did that have to do with anything?

Lastly, the ending with Vic walking away from his desk with his pistol was too abrupt. What the fuck kind of ending was that? You're left there waiting for the last five minutes of the show that never comes...

The Q&A portion of the link that Loky posted, helps a little with the concerns you have. The Shane thing was BAMF-ing TV!!

I read the Q/A with Shawn Ryan and saw how he explained how he wanted to bring back the comic book store dude who wanted to change the streets, but it still seemed "forced" into the plot.

If there's a The Shield movie, you'll be fighting me for first place in line...

OMG I would love that. I would love to see how ronnie copes with antione in prison, i would love to see vick trying to see his kids. i would love to see dutch continue to be the closet serial killer he is. I would love to see claudette's funeral, and i would love to see aceveda go down in a huge mayorial scandal!

Loved the finale. The entire final season was perhaps the best season IMO.

SPOILER ALERT

Shane's demise was shocking.

Felt terrible for Ronnie (even though we all knew it was coming).

Glad that Claudette is on her way out...

It probably ended the worst for Vic. Not only did he lose all of his friends and family, but now he relegated to a desk job...OUCH! Prison would have been a better suit for him.

I think it would be cool to see Vick in prison, although I think we would be Antione Mitchell's bitch!
