Any Dentist around here?

It shouldn't damage your teeth too much more even though the cavity is still growing. It problably won't get this bad in just another week (unless of course it already looks like this),

however, since you have experienced pain I would consider it an emergency. Usually when a doctor or dentist is off for a period of time they have another dentist that covers their emergencies. Find out who it is and call him!!!

A week or two probably won't make any difference.
Who can get in to see their dentist immiediately, anyway?

While we're on the subject of dentists, I'd like to recommend the use of a laser to treat gum disease pockets rather than the old gum surgery methods. I had that done and it is so much easier and just as effective. Basically, the laser vaporizes the infected dark tissue while leaving the healthy pink tissue.
And you can have a milkshake to cool things down after! :biggrin:

Well, I'll make sure he lets work know he wont be back. My dad is fat, so there will be plenty of ashes for everyone....I just hope we have enough coke.

I just went for a cleaning, got a new hygienist. She took forever and when she finished she started smearing my lips with Vaseline which made kind of nervous. I wasn't sure what she was planning with that one, I was just hoping she wasn't from Bangkok.
