My friends and I are looking for like-minded Buckeye fans to watch the games with at a bar. We've been going to either the Sports Grille on Canal or the Sports Depot in Allston, but are usually the only or almost only tOSU fans in the place. Any ideas would be great. thanks.

I'm not in or near Boston, but this might help.

Last year the alumni club met at Jillian's near Fenway Park. There weren't a ton of OSU people, but it was fun to watch the game with other Big Ten folk (seemed to be more Penn State people there). I'm not sure where they're meeting this year.

Jillian's is attached to Avalon, I think. They have a ton of large screens in the back -- maybe 4 to 6 of them. It's a bit pricey for food and drinks, but there are a ton of people in there on gameday. I like watching games at Boston Beer Works, too, although they could use a few more large screens.

What part of Boston are you in?

I assume you mean the Tequila Rain bar in the basement of Jillians with the 2 giant screens. That is a great place to watch games (eventhough the Bucks were 0-2 when I watched games there). I'll keep that in mind.
how about you do me a favor and keep your ass as far away from that place as possible. thanks

I'm in Cambridge where sports bars are nonexistent. Finding places that play the game is not a problem, I'd just like to get a solid scarlet and grey crowd together at the same place.

Yeah, Cambridge is all about the schwanky bars. There is on across the street from where I work that isn't bad (it's attached to the Cambridge Marriott), but most of the time I just go over to the Cambridge Brewing Company, where I will be tonight! :) (I doubt if you could watch the Buckeye games there, though.)

Was anyone alse hoping-- since we were talking about "Planetoids" and other possible celestially significant objects-- that the conversation should have simply been:

Nah... it was just the second insenstive thing I've said in a couple days...

I don't think the flamethrower dude is Manfred's type though... I think he's more attracted to teh "Kung Fu Fighting w/Machetes" type.... Its a more elegant discipline with a more civilized weapon... Manfred's not going to go homo for some redneck teenager with a blowtorch... give him some credit.
