Being both a former high school player and player in the army with my unit I never compared the two! The only thing that i compared football to was a fight even before i enlisted!jlb1705;1826073; said:Comments like this deserve our ridicule, but my anger is mitigated by a couple factors.
- Some people should never be quoted on the record, or be allowed to have a camera or mic in front of their face, because they're too stupid to speak resonpsibly. This is one of those people.
- Our culture has created this stupidity. Fans, coaches, analysts, reporters and players are always quick to compare football to war. We celebrate the comparison, and almost all of us are complicit in it. It's a shame really. For many people, criticizing guys like Antrel Rolle & Kellen Winslow without looking also looking in the mirror is hypocritical.

Being on both sides of the fence here, I think it is justified to be a bit angry!
