Another workplace rant

It ain't easy, bein' cheesy.
Perhaps some of you have dealt with this as well....

There is a chick here that works with me in the finance dept who is one of those "copy unnecessary people, including the boss" folks when sending e-mails. This morning I get one from her regarding a report I did last week, which she adds to before sending it up the ladder. It looked a bit different from what she expected, so she sent it back in an e-mail (with our boss copied) that was worded in such a way that it gave you the idea that I had screwed it up and needed to correct it. Never mind that fact that, A) she knew about the change and apparently forgot, and B) what I did was correct. Obviously, I replied to everyone and explained that.

I fucking hate people who do this. Virtually everything she does or says is designed to attempt to shift blame and make someone else look bad. Thankfully she doesn't out-rank me, so I can bitch at her and it doesn't matter.

If I thought I could get away with it, I'd punch her in the throat.

General rule: Bitches at work are bitches.

I'd say go into her office, shmooze her, bend her over her desk, nut on her back and then donkey punch her.

I've learned to wait it out on those people...they always end up cutting their own throats.

We had a female coach here who loved to rat on everyone for every little bent rule...she was a young assistant who had never held a head coaching job but thought she knew everything about the business. She turned in all of the football coaches when we practiced in the gym and had to take down volleyball nets...which we replaced. Anyway, instead of just emailing the coaching staff, she forwarded it to all principals, the AD, all the way up to the Supt. Bad mistake.

She was named head softball coach and has basically run the thing into the ground in 3 months. She has used up her entire budget on hitting gadgets and especially field maintenance. She does not take advice well so when she decided to naildrag her field (with 120 lbs of sandbags and her sitting on top while her assistant drove her TRUCK on the infield) after over an inch of rain we all sat back and watched and laughed. The AD chewed her out for it and they had to rework the field...however, she again brought out her truck and naildrag to tear it up again. The AD was out of town so we took pictures on cell phones and emailed them to him :)

She is now banned from doing anything on her own field that includes machinery...everything has to be done by hand or with a rake. We just got a new Gator with the infield attachments...and it is killing her that she can't touch it and I have to drag their field.

Just keep giving people like that the rope...they eventually hang themselves.

Oh yeah! That's kinda why I let myself get fired(since I told my employer I knew she was paying this girl half under the table so she can collect welfare too) to collect only 6 weeks of unemployment, then structured my own business & I'm happier.
She always tried to out do me by being quicker, pointing out mistakes,accusing me of wrong doing with clients pets,hardly the truth. Infact the one day she accused me of wrong doing I was not even there,I had left for a horse show.
Oh,by the way this is the world of pet styling,dog grooming whatever you wanna call it!
They fought me on unemployment,I won the 3rd appeal without even going! The unemployment ref denied them 3 times,by then I quit collecting,& was ready to open up.
Needless to say that place was sold she got canned by the new owners still continued to get welfare & now I hear she has the state paying for her new education~a prison guard! She'll fit in perfect there!
You should just punch that girl square in the face!:biggrin: GOOD LUCK!

I have a one-click solution that works.

Choosing my times carefully, if a CYA artiste sends out a multi-cc e-mail I "accidentally" reply only to sender. :biggrin:

Burns them up I find ...

One such ass coverer would reply back to the thread, adding back all the original ccs, and putting in pithy language about the need to have everyone copied on the replies.

Which lead to the CEO taking him aside (yep, some bitches have balls) and reaming him a new one on his paranoid attitude, his wasting of CEO's, VPs and other folks time with those long copy lists. :tongue2:

CEO then sent out a nice courteous memo to all advising us to be judicious when making distribution lists for memos - need to know and common sense being his watchwords.

Not nearly as bad as being blind copied.

I always reply back to people who Cc the world about a topic that they do not understand. I give them about 1 hour to come back and then reply with "disregard the previous email as I have found a resolution." Then state the resolution.
Great way of giving yourself praise in front of people that you would not drop low enough to Cc on the original message. Also, excellent way of making the original mailer look like a dumbass in front of their peers, superiors.

I love doing that shit to those people. :biggrin:

We had someone at my last job who started playing the email blame game as soon as she realized she was on thin ice with the company. I started receiving rude emails demanding information and stating that I was putting her off deadline and apparently causing the eventual demise of the organization. These emails made zero sense as I'd already provided the information on multiple occasions, but I'd just resend it and write her off as nuts.

Turned out the CEO was being BCC'd on all of them, but of course not on my replies repeatedly providing the information... very sneaky. I never would have realized what she was doing had the CEO not called my boss to see why I was being so unreasonable. The CEO didn't understand BCC, so she just assumed I would include her in my responses, which backed up my coworker's assertion that I was ignoring her emails.

My next reply was a very polite and helpful message explaining how the search function works in Outlook... CC'd to the CEO... with all previous exchanges pasted below my signature. Two weeks later, the coworker was gone. Whew.

My corporate office is in Nashville, and some woman there copies not only everyone in my office in Columbus, but also data centers all over the country including Alaska, about everything from blood drives, sundae bars, and ppl dieing I never knew existed.
