If the glove does not fit you must acquit. Rest in peace J.Cochran. Jury's are like circus crowds, amuse them and distract them then rob them blind. It seems that practicing trial law anymore is basically sleight-of-hand magic. And public perception nowadays is that the end justifies the means. So, if you couple public perception with americas natural affinity for the underdog every trial is a crapshoot. I actually admire the craft that these fork tongued motherfuckers ply to earn their living. There is no job security if you lose a high profile case. These guys live on the edge of financial ruin everyday, and they're all banking their security and well being on the whims of 12 average joe's in a jury box who think they know the law because they've watched every episode of law and order. So, kudos, great barristers, may the law give you riches and the jury give you ulcers on the long road to hell you're paving with the souls of the innocent who were out-jousted on the courtroom floor with inferior representation due to economic...whatever.
