Jury weighs $200M fast-food strip search suit - CNN.com

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Kentucky (AP) -- A jury is deliberating the case of woman who said she was forced to strip in a McDonald's back office at the behest of a caller posing as a police officer.

Plaintiff Louise Ogborn cries as she testsifies about being strip searched for more than three hours.

Louise Ogborn, 21, is suing the fast-food giant, accusing it of failing to warn her and other employees about the hoaxer, who had already struck other McDonald's stores and other fast-food restaurants across the country.

Ogborn is seeking $200 million in compensatory and punitive damages. McDonald's has said Ogborn is responsible for whatever damages she suffered for not realizing the incident was a hoax. After a four-week trial, the jury starting deliberations Thursday.

Shit, I'd pay that much not to have her strip...

Seriously, wherer in the fuck do they come up with the $200 million figure? There is no amount of "humilation" that warrants that much money...none. I hope that Loser Hogblow never gets employeed again...fuckin whiney little beyatch.

Apparently this same hoax had been pulled 68 previous times in 32 states before the Louise Ogborn was reeled in by the same perv.
Kentucky employees say they never were warned By the time the caller telephoned the company-owned McDonald's in Mount Washington in April 2004, supervisors had been duped in at least 68 stores in 32 states, including Kentucky and Indiana. The targets included a dozen different restaurant chains.
Managers of at least 17 McDonald's stores around the nation had been conned by that time, and the company already was defending itself in at least four lawsuits stemming from such hoaxes.
But Summers, who had worked for the McDonald's 25 miles southeast of Louisville for about eight months, said she had never heard a thing about the hoaxes. Neither had Dockery, or the store's manager, or McDonald's area manager, according to court depositions they gave later.

Mmm - so this thing might actually have merit as a suit. Though, certainly not 200 Million for one plaintiff. I could buy a sum similar to that for all the victims mind you - as this happened so often.

The linked article is long - but replete with detail on what led up to the case in question.

Anybody who works at McDonalds deserves to have their cavaty pilaged.

Cavaty? Pilaged?

Maybe you should use your spare time to go back for your GED instead of wasting it by beating unarmed minorities? :shake:
