Announcers (Official Thread)

I was not a fan and found them pretty inconsistent with their criticism and praise of the teams, especially Pryor. TP had an INT and a deep throw that were both thrown VERY similarly, but one was because of terrible mechanics and the other was because he stepped forward and threw it where his WR could catch it (or something to that effect). They were both bad throws. One just ended better. It was obvious.

Couple other things. The "We'll call it...." was annoying. Couldn't get the players right. Don't think I know anyone on Toledo other than the QB and the LBer.

The best was when they reviewing the impact players and Dane was one of them. His avg per catch was 27 or something crazy and the announcer said Dane is a great possession receiver. Then a play later bomb to the procession receiver.

Those guys drove me nuts, for some reason... there's a reason they do MAC games, apparently. At least in the MAC, nobody's watching, so they can be as wrong as they like.

Still, it was nothing compared to the (usual) NBC/NOtre Dame slurpfest. How many times can you review the same catch and still not see that he didn't have the ball anymore?

And yes, MSU football is killing me at the moment. Chokemonkeys.

Just think about it this way - right now CMU would be a touchdown favorite on the road against Ntre Ame.

God I hope they keep fat boy on the sidelines in South Bend :slappy:

I could have sworn I saw Fellows wearing his #91 jersey on the sidelines in sweats..?

He was being facetious. Anderson Russell made a tackle and the commentator remarked that it was Fellows; must have gotten #21 and #91 mistaken, not to mention the size of the players involved. Just goes to show that these two didn't do their homework.

I was really impressed with.......uh...#30...Donnie....uh......E-veh-gee....on special teams.

Reghi did say it correctly not too long afterward, but that was some damn fine butchery.

Was fellows even in Toledo? He's been injured and in sweats for weeks, it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't make the travel roster.

I dvr'd the game and finally watched the entire thing last night. I saw Fellows in his #91 jersey and some sweats standing on the sideline.
