Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) Dead at Age 39.

So, the series finale was last night. Has anyone else here been watching this show? It took a little while for Andy's replacement to grow on me but I thought he was awesome this season. Sucks that the show had to end but it had to given the chosen story.

I watched it and enjoyed it for what it was. The back half of the last season was kind of hard knowing that pretty much everyone was going to die. I liked the way they ended it for Spartacus as opposed to the end for Gannicus. It was nice to get Andy Whitfield in the end of the credits.

It will be interesting to see if Starz tries to continue the story in Rome or will look for something new. The only 2 Starz shows that I've watched are gone now with Boss not getting picked up for a 3rd season.

Internet rumors are speculating a spin-off with Caesar's story from where it left off, though they pretty much did that already with Rome some years back.

Hotter chicks and more sex, but it would be similar to Rome. They tried to keep Caesar likable but it would be hard to see him as the protagonist. IIRC Caesar only lasted a season on Rome so they could probably delve more into his younger life and rise to power. They would also have to find a way to bring back the gladiator action because that was the best part of Spartacus.
