damm thumpowitz why be so Hostile over AI a show that many people enjoy. First to make it that far is awesome and then to win it. I wouldn't be complaining at all to get a record deal and walk the red carpet with the whose who.

I'm sure Carrie will have a few # 1's just like Kelly Clarkson.

God knows if I won I'd be abusing that Marquis Jet pass for all it's worth, and those cherry red Mustang GTs weren't too bad either.

Oh yeah, the $1M recording contract is kinda nice.

Really, you don't have to even win AI to make a career for yourself. Just getting through to the Top 4 should get you a look. I won't be surprised if at least 5 people from this season don't get record deals out of the show. Vonzell would have won any other year, Bo and Carrie were locks even without the show, Anthony and/or Anwar will be there with about two to three more years worth of work, and Constantine's rock band will probably get a deal somewhere with his exposure now. Of course, there's the rumor that Mario already had a record deal in the works at the time he withdrew from the competition months ago, and I think Scott Savol is good enough to parlay a single out of his voice somewhere along the way.

I'm proud to say I've never watched a minute of American Idol. Given the so-called "talent" that has emerged from it, it appears I haven't missed much.

Then again, I've never watched Survivor, either.

I'm just reality tv'ed to death. There aren't even that many shows I watch besides Sportscenter, Modern Marvels, and Deadliest Catch. I don't even catch those every week.
