Don't Immanentize the Eschaton
I probably haven't laughed this hard at something on Family Guy since Peter got in the fight with the guy in the chicken outfit the first time:

Anyway, my wife thinks that I am horrible for laughing at the song although I saw her fighting back not to laugh the first time she saw it.

So, does the song go too far or is it a classical Family Guy moment?

I LOL at the whole show. It usually is wrong, but that's what makes it funny. I also loved when the Emperor from Star Wars was trying to talk Cleveland into killing Quagmire. Little unexpected things like that make the show.

my buddy and I, die hard Family Guy addicts, were watching that episode together...after that skit my buddy turned to me and all he could say, after he stopped laughing, was "harsh"...

It all depends on whether you or someone you know has AIDS. Regardless of how much you like the show something like this is extremely offensive to someone in that category and to laugh at it does make you a bad person.

But, since I don't hang out with fags I think it is a hoot as well.

My wife's uncle passed away from AIDS, and yes, he was gay. I guarantee he would've laughed at it, though. Funny is funny. When Dave Chapelle makes fun of me (indirectly), I'll be the first to laugh. All of this uptight PC shit is getting old. We need to stop taking ourselves so seriously. Similar to Oh8ch's post...

You're asking whether Family Guy goes too far? Sure it does, that's often what makes it humorous. It makes a living by crossing the line, but many of us find that hilarious even if we think it was uncalled for.

I also laughed at both the full-blown AIDS dance routine, and at the emperor's surprise appearance.

Peter giver Homer Simpson a real run in the biggest moron contest.
