Iowa, plus @Indiana and @Minny options for me. Now I'll book hotels, etc. and hope I don't get shafted, I mean, shifted to another game like last year. :tongue2:

And I just told my teen-age daughter that if she ever gets married and wants me to walk her down the aisle, she'd better not pick a date in the fall.

Looks like we all got the IU and Minny away game options. I've gone to IU three times but it won't fit my schedule this fall. If you can go I recommend it. It's the closest thing to a BT home game outside of the Shoe.

Me? I'm an "S", so I got Michigan State. No complaints here, especially since I haven't seen Sparty in years. I do, however, intend to be in C-Bus for the Texas game, trolling for scalpers. :pimp:

Wow sounds like you guys have quite a headache with this ticket deal. I'm happy to be a student..I get all the home games and I bought the Texas game. I gotta work though so I didn't pick up any other out-of-league games. Overall I think it is going to be awesome this year. Go Bucks!!

i wouldn't whine too much if were you guys. i don't go to tosu, but i have been a huuge fan since i was like 10. currently my younger brother goes there, gets the same deals as ohiostate=life, and can't get me a ticket cuz im not an alum, student, or filthy rich. my fandom was the reason he even applied there (im my opinion), and he gets to see the damn games and i'm SOL!
the closest i've come to a college football game is when he called me during a game last year and let me hear the noise. arg! oh well, maybe i'll go to ohio st for grad school...

so in short be happy with the tix cuz at least you get to see the best damn team in the country!

Those were the days, and also why I stretched my undergrad out an extra quarter...FALL quarter.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Before you know it, you'll be one of us.

No whinin' here. I appreciate every game I get to see. I grew up an OSU fan and never got a ticket to a game until I was a student.

I consider my alumni tix the best perk of joining the association - by far.

Illi for the alum tickets... good thing we have season tickets through her work!!!

I wish Presidents club would lower the age for the life insurance route... I'd do that in a heartbeat...
gbear, what is the 'life insurance route'?

FWIW, it is my understanding that you can join the alumni association if you have at least 12 credit hours at Ohio State. If you are in the area, you could take a few classes, join the alumni association and be set for a pair of tickets for the rest of your life. Might seem extreme to some people, but I have seen people do far more.:wink2: Of course you might want to call the alumni association to verify that before going to such extreme circumstances to be eligible for a pair of tickets each year.

FWIW, I have been bumped from almost every Big Ten game I have gotten. I usually end up with UCinci, Miami (OH), OhioU, BG, etc. Hopefully, the Iowa tickets stick for me this year.

Sambuck,
That is 15 credit hours not 12. The reason they allow 15 credit hours is so the kids that leave early (Athletics/hardships etc) can be considered Alumni.
Some of the older Alumni disagree with it, but that is how it is structured.

I got Michigan State, not the greatest game this season, but not bad either.

I don't expect the demand for this game to be too high, so I'm not worried about being bumped to SDSU either.

As for the alumni-student question, I received both sets of tickets during the 2000 and 2001 seasons when I was a grad student. So unless they changed the policy, buckeyefool and thump should be just fine.
