All Whiner Team

Time to resurect the All Whiner Team. I'm asking for suggestions here. Begin with your image of Steve Spurrier on the Florida side lines during one of his many losses to FSU or Miami... Steve's my perennial favorite for this award.. but he's got some real comp this year.

Charlie Weiss, Notre Dame, new comer, but certainly showed a lot of character with his "the refs stole it from us," post game press conference.

Bob Stoops, Oklahoma, very impressive in his bowl appearance.

IVLloyd Carr, Michigan, his fit when the refs finally called delay of game on Henne was pure Oscar quality.

Feel free to add. Maybe Lord JB will turn this into a poll.

OTOH, Kirk Ferentz needs to be given props for not shooting the officials after their bowl game yesterday...these combined make it a push :)

Llllloyd. There is no competition this year. Llllloyd has perfected whining about officiating to such an art that he got :02 seconds back and actually used those to steal a victory.

That's all-whiner coach of the year material right there.

Good call Smith...I clicked on this thread just to add Jeff Samardzija (sp?). After EVERY SINGLE pass he would look for a ref right away and throw his arm up begging for that PI flag. I was basically screaming at him by the end of the game I was so annoyed. :)

Great observation. Watching the game, I was amazed at how every time ND had an incomplete pass, their receivers threw their hands in the air expecting a flag. Then again, with the obvious lack of class displayed by Weis all week long, I can't say I'm surprised. Whiner votes also go out to Weis and obviously Lllloyd.

actually he was whining about his own coaching staff and not the refs, so it makes it ok.

Granted, the guy never really did any true whining, but it sure seemed like leading up to the game he was whining about Ohio State not recruiting him.

I guess in that case, you can stick every Ohio kid that got snubbed by OSU and went to another B10 school and wanted to prove that we "made a mistake" by playing against us. Seemed like an often reoccuring theme this year...
