There are a lot of Big Ten LBs who would disagree...

If it's 4th and 1 with the NC on the line, I'll take Martin. He was a hammer. Not that Boren isn't, but Larry Foote had shaken-baby-syndrome after the 2001 edition of The Game.

That said, if it's 4th and 4 or 5 with the NC on the line, I'll take Boren. At that distance it's iffy if the FB is on the field. Much longer than that the FB is definitely not on the field.

The most consistent and cluch player of the Jim Tressel era was K Mike Nugent. Anyone who disagrees either is too young, too drunk or too ignorant to realize this.

His senior year the offense needed to get only to the opponents 35 yard line for a successful scoring drive and the defense had 80 yards per drive to hold the opponent. I've never had more confidence in any football situation than when we hit the opponent 35 and the fact that they would not be returning the following kickoff. I dont know how many times I said "sweet, thats at least 3 points now and give it to em on the 20", well before we even kicked the ball. Best player at his position in the country and its not debatable, Nate Kaeding be damned.

Ted Ginn is one of my favorite Buckeye players ever and by far the most electric. AJ Hawk is second in LBers for me to only Spielman. The decade has been very kind to us there's no doubting that. Regardless of how he finished, Jim Tressel brought alot of pride back to BuckeyeNation and I will never forget it.
