Now that the All Tressel Era Polls are up and running, it's time to start working our way back....
So on to Round III: The All Earle the Pearl Team Poll
I've listed all of the starters from the beginning of the season during his tenure. I've also added any awards they received during their playing time and where they were drafted by the NFL.
There are too many players to list the entire offense in a single poll so I've split it into two groups...the Skill Positions & the Linemen (lumping the specialists with the linemen).
This poll is for the Offensive Lineman (and specialists):
Vote for the following:
Two Offensive Tackles
Two Offensive Guards
One Center
One Kicker
One Punt Return Man
That means you should cast a total of 7 votes.
Some players are listed at multiple positions due to being starters at different spots during their careers.
Players are listed alphabetically by last name.
Players who only spent one year under Coach Bruce are NOT included (So no Jim Laughlin, Mike Guess or Ken Fritz). That same criteria will be in placed for the other eras also (So Woody might lose a player or two as well
).
So without further adieu, the nominees:

*Note: OK I cheated a little bit on this one. Jim Lachey never played a single down at Tackle while he was at Ohio State. That being said it seems a shame not to at least make him available there as he was one of the best to ever play the position in the NFL....he was also originally recruited as a Tackle by the Buckeyes but a certain line coach who was responsible for the Guards convinced Coach Bruce to move him to the interior of the line.
So even though he was NOT a Tackle for the Buckeyes I'll let the peanut gallery decide where to vote him.
To make up for it I've also listed Krerowicz at Guard as well. He was a Tackle for the Buckeyes but played Guard in the pros (briefly)...
On a similar note I'm kinda bummed about the self-imposed cut-off date criteria because Joe Staysniak was such an "Earle" guy, he's a much better fit with this OL than Cooper's boys.
