Alcohol at Tailgating?

If I am reading this correctly, is there no alcohol allowed at tailgating?

Before, during and after the game, law enforcement agencies will continue to enforce state laws regarding use and possession of alcohol. As in past years, both Columbus Police and OSU Police will issue citations or make arrests for violations of laws prohibiting open containers of alcohol in public areas, including university parking lots and garages. Persons engaging in underage drinking, public indecency, disorderly conduct and other violations are subject to arrest.

HMM make sure you send a thank you letter to our pres. Dr. Karen Holbrook for the rediculous enforcement of the (fairly) new tailgaiting laws. FYI there are undercovers all over the place dressed up like buckeye fans just walking around the parking lots and streets around the stadium. With that said though, put it in a plastic cup and you'll be fine!

Go Bucks!

Actually, the university just released a statement. In it they said that visiting fans should be allowed to enjoy the same tailgating experience as they would at their home stadium. So, NIU fans are allowed to walk around with open cans of beer...it's actually encouraged. Sorry, I don't have the link.

I agree with the posters above. Don't be an ass and keep the alcohol in a cup or a plastic pop bottle and you should be fine. I ave never had an issue, my friend was asked to dump his contents once but that was all.

Hope you have a great time at the game Huskie fans
