That was truly baffling. You've run roughshod over a team to the tune of 53 points and you're down 4 with ~8:00 to go and you decide to milk to the clock?

One, it just wouldn't have worked anyway, there still would've been a minute to go in the game even if they get a TD, and that's all Baylor needed. And two, it completely changes your style of play. You're destroying Baylor's D and you decided to totally change it up. Not surprisingly the drive fails.

Awful decision. I've never been in favor of running the clock when you're down unless you're at the 10 yard line looking to kick a go ahead FG with 20 seconds to go. To try and run the clock in that kind of game against a team that can get downfield in two plays with 8 minutes left? Turrible.
