Alabama 27, LSU 21 (Final, OT)

Maybe? They did just get a short field goal blocked.
Yeah. But, momentum is a powerful thing in college sports. LSU had it when they blocked that FG. LSU lost it when they threw the pick. 'Bama wins.

And, I do agree that 'Bama might not stay at #1. You could barely hear Danielson say "Hopefully" under his breath too. :-)

"Alabama remains undefeated and still #1!"

Oh really? So you already got the poll? Last time I checked Texas Tech still has a chance to impress some voters and computers.
This sideline reporter just asks Nick Saban about "Winning the SEC so early in the season."

They already won the SEC too? Or just their divison? :slappy:

Ugh...LSU is bad. Alabama isn't that good. Florida will roll Alabama. SEC isn't that great this year. Florida is, but the SEC isn't the powerhouse it usually is.

It's a moot point. Who cares if you're #1 or #2?

And even if Bama would have lost, they still probably could have gotten back to BCS #2 with wins over Auburn and Florida. Their competition would be USC and the Big 12 South runner-up; and the voters want to see the Big12 Champ vs. the SEC Champ this year.

if Florida were to get upset going into the SEC Title game(now 2 losses), but beat an undefeated Bama', would the SEC get a title team?

The Big 12 and USC would be making an argument to get in there. It's possible that Texas could jump to the #2 spot behind an undefeated Texas Tech. But that rematch would be fun.

And I think Texas would deserve it over USC. But some voters would knock Texas down in order to not have a non-Division winner in the BCS Title Game. But a 1-loss Texas would be way ahead of 1-loss USC and 2-loss Florida in the computers.
