Akron Zips at tOSU, Sep 25th, 7:30pm BTN

Nobody is "sipping koolaid". There's plenty of legitimate criticism here to go around, but every single post of yours is some form of doom and gloom that almost borders on troll territory and never anything positive. Just like your post about Henderson.....did it occur to you that he had less than 100 yds because he only had 8 carries and the staff is most likely trying to keep him fresh for the conference schedule? Lighten up Francis.......life must suck to be that worried about nothing.
What he said. If you're not bleeding by the end of your day you've had a good shift.

Henderson had 93 yards on 8 carries, for an average of 11.6 yards per carry, and 2 touchdowns. Other than that, great post.
Should’ve given him at least one more carry to give him a chance to go over 100 yds, imo. That’s kind of a benchmark for a RB. Nobody gets in the record books for most games rushing for 93 yds. It’s Akron. The OL was dominating. I don’t think there was any significant risk there of an injury. And there would still be plenty of carries for the other backs. Reward the kid. He deserved it. He earned it. Unless he was a little dinged up and we don’t know about it then I think that would’ve been the right thing to do.

I think you’re being an apologist. You’re starting with the assumption that since they pulled him then it must have been the right thing to do so you’re trying to come up with an argument to justify it.
They pulled him, likely, because the game against AKRON was well within hand and there was no need to play him anymore and risk injury. Remember, Henderson has already gone down once this season with what looked like a pretty serious injury.

This is honestly the dumbest argument...

Yeah, those extra few yards are so much more important that protecting him from potential injury in a meaningless game and keeping him fresh heading in to the Conference schedule. What a terrible decision by the staff to sit him and play the other quality backs on the roster.
All I am saying is they need goals and moral boosters continously. You can win alot of games with talent and X and Os but to win a championship you have to play mind games to make these young men go full savage.

Hey Ma! I rushed for 93 yds today!

I’m sure that call happened. Players care about their stats. 100 yds is a goal for every RB in college football.

How can any Buckeye not know that?
You sound like a moron.

To be clear, I'm not calling you a moron. You just sound like one with this moronic argument.

Early in the fourth quarter, Akron needed to convert on a third and six. Irons handed the ball to Blake Hester who was promptly stuffed by Michael Hall Jr. for measly 1-yard gain. Upon conclusion of the nice stop, Hall Jr. stood up and made the throat slash gesture.

Later in the final stanza, Jakailin Johnson also got caught up in the moment of making a nice play. The cornerback from St. Louis, Missouri broke hard on Konata Mumpfield and completed an impressive textbook tackle.

Regrettably, Johnson decided to let Mumpfield know about the hit several times after the whistle. The chirping was flagged for a 15-yard unsportsmanlike which aided Akron on the final drive of the game.

Just sayin': There's going to be a game sometime when a needless sportsman like conduct penalties could cost you the ballgame. Day definitely needs to do something to get these 2 Freshman's attention on the matter. They both have unlimited potential and could eventually be great players; but they need some self control and not continue committing penalties like these.

Holy cripes. I read the first comment ("Akron held him under 100 yards") as a joke. Yeah, he "failed" to get to 100 yards. But, like someone said, that's because the coaches pulled him. Maybe it wasn't a joke, but it seemed that way to me.

And as far as whether he's interested in 100 yards, I hope he doesn't get the ball again if that's his first concern. Win games.... check! Everything after that can be added to the pile of shit that isn't important.
