Akron RB Dennis Kennedy (official thread)

Thanks for the info HH. Tell Dennis that BKB wishes him well and is sorry things didn't work out. I was really looking forward to watching him perform every week. I've never seen him play, but from all I've heard he was a "diamond in the rough" and I like pleasant surprises.

Forget Toledo and Akron !?!?! hmmm... We are talking about football, right??
If Kennedy played the outfield and not the backfield, I'd agree with you.

Akron has the pre-season #21 athlete in college football as the QB... and one of the most prolific offenses in 1-A... Toledo is rated as a pre-season top 25...

Football recruits for Akron and Kent come from virtually identical geographical areas... including Florida... Yes, Akron gets a significant number of players from Ohio. Last I checked, that was a good thing. Ohio is considered one of the states with the best football talent.

Kennedy would do well chosing either Akron or Toledo... both environments that could be exactly what he needs at this juncture in his life... Programs he could excel at while working on the non-football aspects...

Dennis Kennedy to Akron

We visited a number of schools over the last few days and Dennis has chosen Akron.

Although it was not the biggest on the list, Dennis can come in and make an immediate impact. With the new staff, the offensive scheme, and the desire to join the big east, I am happy with the fit.

I have another kid up there from Dillard there, so we know a little about the school and the area.

Dennis & his Mom are excited, so it seems to have worked out.
