Ajani Cornelius (OL Oregon)

Could you please stop speaking so negatively and consistently about NIL and the sky is falling. It’s quite annoying and doesn’t need to be in every single thread, you have not been adding any value other then whining about things for the past month.

Birm has also admitted that this has been the most unique year for recruiting. NIL has made recruiting a crapshoot for literally every recruiting analyst. And yet OSU still had very few decommits. Fletcher was a luxury, and not a need, and 2023 has been a down year for RB recruiting outside of the top 3. 2023 has a top 3 recruiting avg per recruit as well. And oh yeah, OSU is also in the CFP. Relax buddy
Fair enough.
From a traditional recruiting standpoint point (not including potential portal adds) I’m disappointed in:
OT - we are losing 2 high level T’s, do not have much depth behind them. And were able to net a project (Mikes Walker). I’m not sure Monty is a T. We whiffed for one reason or another on our top targets.

De - whiffed (most likely on big 3). Won’t be an issue next year but the following year gets worrisome.

LB - whiffed on Curtis who we spent a ton of time and resources on. A few others (Bowles, Aquire) got 1.
Again next year we are fine but that room gets cleaned out after that.

RB - whiffed. Not concerned. Everybody is back. Makes 24 critical.

S- Downs would have been massive. I like Hartford.

I love the corners though possible Lee flip is concerning.

It feels like the one position group we crushed it at was WR.

NIL definitely needs addressed. Cardale with his "he must not want to play at OSU (or something to that effect)" quote was a little disconcerting.

I know Day has stated he doesn't like to use the transfer portal. They will most likely have to use it in the future.

They have to up their game with the transfer portal. Identify the talented options earlier, and get on it.

NIL they must figure it out.

Let's hope that what they got this year flourishes. The D needed to be improved and I think they did that this year. They could have used one or two of those DE's, but it seems like money may be an issue for one of the players, and the other may just want to be close to home.

can you not get the message? Keep this crap out of kids threads. It’s been said nicely enough times.

High probability that tOSU loses both outstanding OTs. One serviceable replacement available, other position is iffy. Yeah, a good-to-great LT would be nice, but they don't grow on trees, and would command more NIL $ than tOSU has/wants to spend. Don't know anthing about Ajani, but hope he can/will withstand Mariotti's boot camp.
