Air Force Coach Fisher DeBerry in trouble

Tim Dwight's not slow. Neither is A.J. Hawk, Bobby Carpenter, Anthony Schlegal, Brandon Stokley, Drew Tate, Drew Stanton, that WR from Notre Dame, white soccer players, most white rugby players, etc. etc.

White guys aren't slow, black people are just faster.

Two things jumped out at me: 1) most white rugby players (almost a redundancy) are slow; 2) I may need to borrow your last line for a signature.

You got something against Anthony Gonzalez? Or is he Mexican?

Genetically there is no difference between white people and black people. White people are every bit as fast as black people. It just so happens that there are more black athletes in the public spotlight which is all we see. Are black people faster than whites? No. Are there more fast black people that whites? Yes. 100 years ago all the athletes in this country were white. Everyone probably thought the fastest person alive was white. The best football players were white. The best basketball players were white. There hasn't been a genetic mutation in black people since then. This mentality was thought only because blacks weren't allowed to do the things white people did. Now they can. And there are more of them then whites. That's all.

According to the US Census bureau Gonzalez could be Mexican and White. Being Hispanic does not include someone in a racial category. It puts someone into a cultural category, due to the fact that many Hispanics could have White, Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, or Native American descent.

So, to answer your question. Yes, I think that he does have a problem with Anthony Gonzalez. :tongue2:

And the pussification of America continues. Pretty soon, no one will be able to say anything about anybody unless you are in their group (i.e. whites talk about whites, blacks talk about blacks, etc.). It's to the point where two people can't even have a standard discussion and disagreement about the finer points of a completely innocuous topic like admissions requirements without someone being branded a racist. It's pathetic, really.

Funny, this gets national media uproar, and yet a guy who used to be an instructor at NC State can say white people "need to be exterimated off the face of the earth" and it barely receives any media attention. Go figure.

You can thank the liberal media for this phenomenon. :roll1:

By acknowledging a stupid stereotype and associating a positive attribute with a particular race doesn't make DeBerry's comments acceptable by any means. The fact is he indirectly slighted another race with an assumption that just isn't true. It simply doesn't matter which race he felt his team needed to be faster; the fact that he believes this ridiculous stereotype is moronic. What he said is no less idiotic than if he said, "Our team doesn't play very intelligently. We could really use some more (insert any race here) to help us play smarter." Believing race=speed is as stupid as thinking one race may be more intelligent, cleaner, better at fixing watches, or cheaper than another. The only thing more pathetic than the fact that these stereotypes still persist is the idiots who try to apologize for them and blame others for being too sensitive.

Or morons who decide they can assign intent to everything someone else says. Was it a stupid thing to say? Sure was, partly because it may not be true, and partly because he should have known the reaction he was going to get. Does that make him a racist? Not if he didn't say it with any malice, and I don't know what his intent was...and neither do you. It's fine to diasgee with his point, and maybe he's totally wrong...but the fact that the racist card gets played anytime anyone says anything anymore is what's pathetic.

Oh, sorry, forgot to add the :tibor:

Well, the Swiss are the experts at watch repair. If you find the demographic breakdown of Switzerland by race, you will find that it is primarily caucasian. Hence, caucasians make the best watch-fixers. Next time, use a better example, okay?
