Also, I could be wrong, but I think I remember some kid getting carded for cough syrup (or some kind of OTC medicine) at a local grocery store one time. Weird.

Cough syrup can be used to make meth, hence the carding.

Anhydrous ammonia is bad, but I don't think it does, but I could be wrong. Thinking about it, anyhydrous ammonia is probably used to make fertilizer bombs. And I have no clue why you would need to be 18 to buy 2-cycle oil, I know you can make cocaine from kerosene, maybe 2 stroke oil as well?

Uhhh, Hubbard, don't think so. Cocaine hydrochloride cannot be synthesized using kerosene as the feedstock. Kerosene is, as I understand it, used as the solvent to extract the active agent from coca leaves, though.

Exactly, I didn't mean you add a compound to kerosene and bingo! Cocaine. It is used in the process.
