AFC Wildcard: Steelers(-8.5) at Broncos

Brady didn't get the benefit of no safeties......which obviously credit to that goes to Tebow's ability to run. Let's just stop pretending that he stood back there and picked their secondary apart like he's Aaron Rodgers.

No one said anything of the sort, most certainly not me.

Let's not let our butthurt over Tim Tebow cause us to look for ways to rip him even when he plays far better than expectations and wins a playoff game no one (including me) thought he could win.

Credit where due. Tebow earned it today by taking what the defense, best in the NFL this season, gave him.

fixed

One of the worst games I've ever seen a DB play. But yes, credit to Tebow. Also credit to Thomas for making Taylor look so bad, the defense for making some huge plays, and John Fox for not playing Brady Quinn.

I don't think anybody ISN'T giving him the credit he deserves. He balled today. He was efficient on the ten completions he made, running the ball with some patience.

That being said,

Their offense started to sputter, then fizzled out in the 2nd half. It's true, Tebow is no Manning. I want the young man to do well, cause he's like the kind of guy you'd put on a Wheaties box.

But I just...don't see the consistancy there. He hesitates when he's in the pocket. He played well today, yes. Improvement can come with time, true. But I just don't see it there as of yet. Let me put it this way...

If I'm playing a playoff game, and my quarterback choice is Fake Locker or Timmy T - I'm taking Timmy T. He's 1-0 in the playoffs.

BUT

Don't think for a second that the Pats aren't licking their chops watching this game. They won't make the same mistakes that the Steelers made. The Broncos had EIGHT YARDS IN THE FIRST QUARTER. EIGHT.

You didn't "fix" anything, but you do sound like a crybaby Steeler fan. :roll2:

YAWN :roll1:

The bottom line is Tebow played far better than anyone expected, did it against the #1 defense in the NFL, and his team won the game. Whether or not his 8-8 team loses next week is irrelevant to what they accomplished today.

Considering I'm not a Steelers fan that's kinda funny. I gave credit to Tebow (I was not being sarcastic when I did that). Was not giving him a blowjob too little?

What's even funnier is a Buckeye fan who is so butthurt over Tim Tebow they make themselves sound like a Steeler fan, even when they claim not to be one.

Giving the guy credit for his performance is hardly blowing him.

I gave him credit, what the fuck else do you want me to do?

There's a whole team in Denver that deserves credit today. Shame on me for not ignoring them.

I'm not butthurt. You sound like Skip Bayless.

You're saying it everytime you say "best in the NFL". He didn't face the same defense that was "best in the NFL". Part of that is because they changed their scheme because of his running abilities.....so he does get credit for that. But come on. You're just stopping short of saying he's better than the other QBs who played against that defense.

And don't sit there and call me out on my anti-Tebow bias, Mr. I-rooted-for-Tebow-cuz-I-hate-the-Steelers
