AFC Divisional Playoffs: Chargers at Colts(-8.5)

I"m happy for two reasons; colts lost, chargers won. LT is a fantastic person and player so its good to see him move on. Dont expect a blow out against NE either, this team is still pissed off about what happened last year so be prepared for a very emotional game.

Tony Dungy though; can't say anymore, the guy is pure class...

I think the Pats' are breathing a lot easier. Rivers played well, but will he be banged up? Gates and LT won't be 100% either.... even if Rivers is 100% I think they're licking there chops to get after him (January New England weather, for a Southern Boy who plays in San Diego ='s bad things).

Chargers will have extra motivation as the Pats beat them in San Diego last year and disrespected them at the end of the game. I still don't see it, and in the event that the game is close, you ceratainly can't count on Nate Kaeding. Ouch.

It may sound farfetched, but Michael Turner can definitely fill in LT's shoes. The Chargers re-signed this guy for a reason, and it is the exact reason and scenario that has just unfolded - if LT's health ever came into question. The guy averages well over 5 YPC in his career, and could be huge next week. However, I'm expecting the Pats to steamroll over these guys.

On another note, Philip Rivers has claimed the title of Biggest Douchebag in the NFL. I used to like him because he is a fiery guy. But there is such thing as too fiery (ie. yelling at Broncos QB, Jay Cutler; and yelling at the fans after the game when Volek got them in position to win). He is seriously the biggest douche ever, and I would love to see Volek play well and take his starting position.

:shake: who cares? He's an emotional guy, and it's not like he's backing down from anyone. Let me guess, it's a shame that you didn't get that force out in Arizona because now you'd be on your way to the AFC Championship game? :roll1:

If he would just act with some class. yelling at fans and other players like he does is not called for from a leader of a great football team. Ever see montana or elway or aikman yelling at fans on the sideline after a win??? thats why i called him an asshole.

Got to give it to the Chargers today though. They played hard. Alot of people banged up going into NE next week does not look good.

If God really cares he'll make Brady twist his ankle getting out of the tub this week to make things even.:sneaky:

NFL: Chargers knock out Colts with backups

Chargers defenders Marlon McCree, left, and Jacques Cesaire celebrate after stopping Peyton Manning and the defending champion Colts.

INDIANAPOLIS -- As the final seconds ticked down, superstar tailback LaDainian Tomlinson, the face of the San Diego Chargers, bounced from teammate to teammate in celebration of one of the biggest victories in franchise history.
He was thanking them for doing the work he was unable to.
Tomlinson didn't have a big hand in his team's 28-24 AFC semifinal upset yesterday of the reigning champion Indianapolis Colts, having left the game in the first half with a knee injury. And while Philip Rivers threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns, the starting quarterback of the Chargers wasn't the engineer of record when the offense drove to the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Rivers went out with a knee injury, too.

Muffs make Colts look less than super
Turnovers, mistakes doom Indy's repeat bid

Indianapolis receiver Marvin Harrison, right, helped set the stage for a bad day for the Colts when he fumbled in the first quarter.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Tony Dungy thought these Indianapolis Colts were better than his Super Bowl champions.
They hardly looked like it yesterday.
A combination of turnovers, dropped passes, inexplicable penalties and defensive breakdowns allowed the Colts to do what few thought possible -- end their quest to repeat as NFL champions before ever reaching New England.
"That's how you lose these games," Dungy lamented after a 28-24 loss to San Diego. "More of these games are lost than won, and we did things we hadn't done all season."
The Colts looked more like the impostors of two years ago, when they lost to eventual champion Pittsburgh in the divisional round after earning the AFC's top seed, than they did defending champions.

Meh, I don't care about the Donkeys, Cutler and those guys have let our players have it verbally enough that it doesn't matter. That all started last year when we came back, there was some exchange after the game that just started it off. As for the fans, I don't really know what he said, I know when he went out of the game fans were cheering his injury/leaving and he was just laughing yelling "I'll be back" after the game, I don't know.

One problem for me with anyone saying anything is he's a young guy and fans can get pretty abusive, hell, just to other fans. I have seen people yell shit like "I hope you break your leg" etc... especially in the heat of the moment, so whatever... Honestly, I would rather have a guy with some fight in him than just lower his head and walk off the field. I also can't tell if he's always pissed off or just looks that way when he's yelling, we see him when we are winning calling audibles and his face gets all scrunched up.

As for Volek taking his starting position, that's not likely to happen, say what you want about the guys personality but he's a winner on the field. He started off the season slow, made a bunch of mistakes, but as he's warmed up he's made up for it and actually done better passing than I thought he could.

Odd though that he's the biggest douche when there's Albert Haynesworth, Rodney Harrison, or Bill Bellicheck who have actually broken rules and or people but it's Rivers who sucks...

It's all the make up. I think he has fake eyebrows painted on to make him look mad all the time
