Our church has no bells.
Well, the cookout was disappointing. Instead of being like an OutKast video, it was more like Antiques Roadshow. The NMR was great and eveyone was extremely hospitable toward her.
One demographically interesting thing was that many of my black friends from high school either started working right away or went to community college while working and have children from 17 to 22 years old. They're 37 or 38, their kids are either out of the house or about to be, and they're already spending or planning to spend the empty nest dividend.
On the other hand, many/most of my white classmates, including me, have young kids, in some cases really young, and will be doing the parent thing well into our fifties. That was an unforseen consequence of fucking around for six or seven years in college and grad school before even getting a job and starting law school.
