what's rather funny is that george brown has said that aaron will only camp at osu, and his 3 officials are fsu, osu, and uf and that's it.

then shortly before that on the scout main board, chris pool declared brown was a Vol. joker.
 
In late September, Mel Tucker called Adam, asked him to commit, and Adam wouldn't; then, Mel pulled the offer so that the Bucks could go in a different direction.

Sorry for the mini-hijack - I just thought that Aaron's situation is strikingly similar to Adam's....

if i remember correctly, someone on Rivals had an interview with AMW after it happened and AMW said that he likely would have picked tOSU if they had just let him have some more time. also, i think by the time that AMW decided, he only had offers from UT and Nebraska left from the major colleges that were in on him. so i don't really think that the situations are similar. JMO.

and if osu would have let the offer stand while AMW took his officials then he would probably be a buckeye. however, seeing how AMW sank like a stone in the recruiting rankings, had a bad senior year on an 0-10 team, and looked pretty bad overall at the AA game, i can see why they gave AMW the ultimatum.

The Brown-AMW connection is hardly close to being strong enough to have anyone proclaim brown to tennesee. that is totally foregoing the fact his father calls him an osu lean, he is only camping at osu, and he isnt visiting tennessee right now.

How much more time would an allegedly lifelong Buckeye fan need? Granted, maybe the staff was looking for an excuse to pull his offer, but they did give him the opportunity to accept before rescinding it.

Grad - The two fathers are friends. I hope that you're right about Pool being fed a line, but last year, AMW's dad sounded awfully similar to AB's dad this year....

so should we pull offers from the glenville boys because they want to go through the process and commit later? Why should a player be forced to commit early if he was a lifelong osu fan? AMW wanted to take visits to make sure of his choice, osu seeing little to no improvement in him from his junior year gave his a shot to join, then pulled the offer.

I see little similarity in the situations aside from their father's knowing each other. Also, brown is looking to commit by mid/late september, whereas AMW wasnt looking to commit until january sometime. huge difference.

i believe that this is what was said. if that still holds true, there isn't much time for AB to visit UT. i really don't think he'd commit there without an official visit.
Nevada has called him to tOSU and not wavered. i'll trust him over Chris Pool anyday.

Not sure where that came from, but nobody has said anything close to pulling Brown's offer.

AMW's ultimatum was a way out for tOSU after further evaluation...they knew he wouldn't commit and the staff was then given an excuse to pull it.

Pool is such a dodger... now that Bob Lichtenfels has jumped on board to support the Brown to UT comment, Pool is acting like it's true again. Bob L. says not to understimate the draw of AMW to UT. he also says that Auburn is right up there too.
i don't know if they're messing with people or what, but they are hearing a bunch of stuff that others aren't. personally, i'm not buying it.
like i said, i'll buy what Nevada says over these guys, and he's called Brown to tOSU. until he says different that's what i'll believe.
