A Quick Review of the Bucks' 2005 Class

Actually, if Huston gets his sixth year we only have one unused scholllie. Of course, that number goes up with any departures - of which a few are rumored. But always nice to have a few ships for deserving Senior walk ons.

As for no prima donas - we might have had a tough time making that statement with Gwaltney on board. He would have been amixed blessing at best.

I didn't really have any real disappointments with this class until I read the list of missed OLBs. So many familiar names and certainly a couple I thought we had an excellent chance at - but so it goes.

All in all a great class.

Great summary ljb!

Excellent job by the Planet today.
Without a doubt, the Planet exhibited extreme class throughout the entire day. Well done by all members and a great job by alan, grad21, mili, et al in the days and weeks leading up to today.

It would have been nice to have JG in this class and it would have been nice to have McCoy/Hodge as well. JT and staff addressed many areas of need with this class and I am sure that next year they will do the same.

To me, it is a given that each and everyone of these recruits are exceptional athletes and have some amazing skills as well as great speed. What really impresses me the most about this class is that each one seems to be well grounded young men and good students. Great athletes with their heads on straight is what strikes me about this class, and if they reach their potential at OSU as football players and as men, they most certainly will make us proud on the field and off the field.

LJBs post gets me pumped about seeing who among all these great kids will make a contribution in 2005.

But let's not forget that we also have FIFTEEN Redshirts who we will see on the field for the first time next year. Haw, Boeckman, Mitchum, Person, Barrow, Hoobler, etc., etc. These are all kids we were equally excited about last "Christmas" and they are all still under the tree.

LJB - very good analysis. To the staff and contributors of Buckeye Planet - a very good job by one and all. For a bunch of armatures, you are more professional than the so called experts and I appreciate all that you do. I have enjoyed the posts and information. Again, thank you and a job very well done.

Just to clarify, I think hoobler was one of the burned redshirts...

I'm excited to see many of them, especially haw... not sure Boeckman will see tons of PT if Smith is the real deal and not just a legend of The Game...
