A question about voltage

OK, I'm done googling this. He's what's going on. I have a guitar effect that I want to run with a direct line to electricity instead of going thru battery after battery. So, here's my problem....

The effect pedal I want to run wants 9 volts and the converter I have puts out 10.5 V. I know it works to plug it in this way (that is, I know the pedal will run with this set up), but my issue is this, am I going to do any damage to the pedal by running an extra 1.5V thru it for several hours at a time?

Thanks in advance to anyone who understand the finer points of low voltage.

not an electrical guy per se, but I am sure you just need one of these.

No, it will be fine. You may need to add a voltage-reduction unit. They're pretty expensive, so I would recommend a cheap homemade alternative that employs just a (straightened) paper clip. Stick one end of the clip into the outlet and, while holding it in place, touch the other end of the clip with your tongue. The saliva will act as an insulator and dampen the voltage once you plug in the pedal. Works every time.

RADIO SHAQ!!!! They'll probably have the right converter that you need.
Yeah, they do... for 18 bucks or some shit. I have all these converters from various electronics I've had over the years and would rather not spend the money if I don't need to. Plus, those guys are far too technical. :p
