A First For Me. Wish Me Luck!

I'm actually planning to sit down and watch "Michigan Replay" tomorrow morning. I have never watched the show before, but I am really curious to see old Lllloyd's attitude tomorrow. I assume he will be standing for the entire show after another ass-kicking by Coach Tressel.

It's usually pretty amusing... I'll watch 5 min or so every couple weeks--more than that and I find myself vomiting in my mouth.

LLLLoyd sits there attempting to be charming and witty and really just coming across as an old curmudgeon. Expect a LOT of excuses. :)

He spent a lot of time whining about the injuries.

And he was adamant that Gonzo was ineligible. That was the only officiating beef he mentioned, but it seemed to me that he basically believes the fates conspired against him in this one--in the form of "bad bounces," the zebras, and the "patchwork nature of the lineup"

Oh. and many clips of the players crying in their proverbial beers.

It was beautiful.

adamant that Gonzo was ineligible huh?

That may very well be the most obviously correct call that I've ever seen a coach complain about on television on the day following the game. Normally they're composed enough by that point to show some decorum, but not our boy Lllloyd. Ain't life grand?

It really does say so much about Lllloyd's lack of intellectual capacity that he chooses to harp on that play - for the wrong reason and thus in the wrong manner. I believe it also says something else about him that is even less flattering.

Gonzo ineligible eh? Not true, and not the point. Gonzo makes one the most beautiful grabs over a scUM defender, a clutch catch that will be seen and replayed many times over. A catch that was followed quickly by Gonzalez going to the official who said to him "Don't worry, you're OK."

I guess Lllloyd's lack of perspective is understandable, but, to simply deny the truth of how the rules read and then lean on that LIE as an excuse for your failure - rather than single out a great catch, by a gutsy opponent. Man, that just stinks. Not only does it show Carr's lack of mental acuity, it shows to me a deeper issue, the lack of respect for an opponent that handed it to you in your own house.

I just finished watching the part about the game and agree 100%. The excuses were too many injuries, the ball not bouncing their way on the two muffed punts, not getting into the endzone and having to settle for field goals, and the ref made the wrong call on Gonzo's reception and that should have come back.

I'm not sure when they tape that show, but if it was this morning the guy did not get a good night sleep. Never even came close to smiling.
