Ok, so this spring my wife see's an advertisement in the dispatch for a relatively cheap mother’s bracelet. Fake stones, but the kid’s names engraved on the bracelet. Not usually one to take a hint, at least one that doesn't cause a bruise, I caught on to this. The add lists a web site. Personalized Jewelry, Silver and Gold Bracelets, Sterling Silver Jewelry - Wellconnected.com....
I log on, this is April 24th, just for reference. Order said bracelet, $80 (roughly). I get an email receipt, stash it away. With my 1 month in advance of Mother's Day I think I am in good shape, worst case scenario I will bee a few days late.
May 25th I believe was Mother's Day this year, so about the 20th I send an email "I haven't received any shipping info on my order, would you be able to tell me when it will arrive?". "Standard shipping is 3-5 weeks", I figure, OK, they have to engrave it and shit....
Early June, I don't remember the date. "Hello, I am so and so, this is my order #, can you tell me where I stand? My anniversary is on the 22 of June, so now that is my target. "Sir, we apologize, but we upgraded our shipping software and it was down for about 5 weeks, so we can’t answer "where your order is".... Are you kidding me? I say. You are a retail company that is an internet based business, and your shipping software upgrade set shit back 5 weeks?!? (Yes, I did say this) Either you guys are the biggest morons in the world, or you are lying to me!
Early July... [Paraphrase]Where is my shit [/paraphrase]"Sir, your order is showing as shipped, it should be there in 7 days at the latest". In the mean time I filed with the BBB, just on principle.
July 10th, or the 11th, I don't really remember which, but it was 10 days after the "it will be a week at the latest". I called again, same schmuck lying about his name (unless they started naming Indian people "Troy", and before you even open your mouth, he had an Indian accent, he wasn't born here).
"Well sir, (he says to me after I ask where the hell my order is), it must have gotten lost in the mail. We will ship another one out immediately, that will take another 4 to 6 weeks” ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!! SINCE WHEN IS 3 - 5 WEEKS 5 MONTHS?!?!? Is your manager there? "No, sir, he isn't” Imagine that.... It was at this point that I was calculating gas cost to drive to NJ to fuck someone up..... Unfortunately with my pickup it was way, way more than $ 80.
If this shit doesn't show up by the end of the week, I am going to file with the BBB in every state they are in (Texas, NJ, and OK) so far I have only files in Texas, and have received no response from there even.
I guess what I am getting at, don't buy anything from well connected dot com...
