shame on the officials... but hey thats part of the game.

whats next outlawing the hurry up? wouldnt want to put pressure on the coaches, players or officials would we?

Its different at the HS level...as time goes on, less and less of the younger crowd sees a desirable position in being an official. All HS sports are starting to struggle finding quality officials. Poor pay and guaranteed harassment are not exactly strong selling points.

If its not called, is it cheating? If its cheating, is it only the refs fault?

agreed on officials but im not so sure at all levels we are seeing a decrease in the level of officiating. maybe its more and better cameras, replays etc. heck 20 years ago you saw a dozen replays an entire game during the game of the week.

cheating is cheating.

much like the intentionally going offsides deal in college football a few years ago, its a scum bag move it sounds like...

It's official, the A-11 is dead. At least on all but 4th down. The numbering exception was changed.

The "horse collar" was also passed as a personal foul for 2009 in HS. I must have heard "Horse Collar" 20 times last season and every time had to turn to the coach and say "That's a Saturday and Sunday rule, coach".

Another nice rule is that the coaches now have to be behind a 2 yard line from ob when the play starts, giving the wings plenty of room to run the sidelines.

Are you talking about high school rule changes? If so, for which states?

DO you have a link? I'm not familiar with how H.S. rule changes work.

Not really new...just going to be enforced more. There has been more of an emphasis over the last few seasons.

I heard a couple of guys talking about this again the other day.

Am I the only one in the world that thinks of an old Buck Owens song first when I hear "A-11"? I think I am.

Call me old school, but I've always been partial to A-10 offense.
