I turned on 99.7 last Saturday for the first time in probably 6 months and wondered what the hell happened. 99.7, 105.7, and 106.7 are almost identical now. 105.7 plays a little more older stuff.

I wish there was something like KROQ around here. I'm sick of hearing 24/7 Nirvana, Metallica, and occasional Ozzy. Give me something recorded in the last year please.

Uh....you do know about CD 101-they are about as close to KROQ as you are going to get-they do actually play real indy/alternative/not NickelbackLinkinParkPuddleofCrapp.....:)
Can't believe the Blitz is gone - Columbus radio really is pretty damn bad. Its amazing that all the stations in Columbus water-down their playlists in search of more listeners and get exactly the opposite. With such a good local music scene, you'd figure radio people would know to play interesting music.

Does QFM 96 still exist? I used to like that station for classic rock. Edit: just checked online - it does. Whew.
Yep...CD101 isn't to bad they even have thier local line up on sundays I think. But I'll probably never turn on 99.7 again. I tried last week to listen to it but every other song was from an 80's hair band, and not a good one like "Twisted Sister" either..:p

So glad The Blitz is back!! When they changed to The Rock, their music choices were horrible and it was no where near the same. The Rock TownHall Meeting was by far the best thing that has ever happened to 99.7. I was actively participating in the meeting and gave my thoughts. Since the meeting, the music choices have been hell of alot better, and it finally feels like everything is back to normal with the name change.

I'm very interested to see what they do for a local morning show. Bob and Tom are alright, but i miss a local morning show...they are alot better then a national one.

You just better hope they don't hire this whiny out of work asshole for a morning show: The Maxwell Show - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That is the first time I can remember a show being so bad that I changed the station every time it was on.
