The auction says the inside is marked HJ. Who would that be?

It's the jewelers marking

Also ring is made by Herff Jones and is 10K solid Gold. Markings for both are located inside band(HJ-10K).

It stands for the ring maker (Herff Jones) according to the Additional Info on the auction page.

Also, the same auctioner finished auctioning off a pair of 1998 Gold pants that he just so easily came ahold of as well. My guess is it's the same person who he acquired them from.
