#9 Wichita St +4.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 129.5) Sat 7:05 CBS

If they think of it as a deep hole, they'll be done before they even get back out there. They need to break the game into smaller chunks. If you can get it to a 5 or 6 point gap by the under-12 timeout it becomes manageable and shifts some of the pressure to the other side.

I wouldn't say a really deep hole. It's more just a hole. They can turn things around pretty quick. Seems like they've come out of the gate 2nd half during the season hot.

The first 4-5 minutes of the 2nd half are key. If we can knock the lead down to 6 or less, that would be great.

They are making Marquette - who just scored the least points in the Elite 8 in the shot clock era - look like the Showtime Lakers.

that half was as entertaining as a 24 hour marathon of Masterpiece Theatre

Whatever it is - something seriously has changed even since the Big Ten tournament, but certainly since the Iona game - like this team has learned one way to win/play against Big Ten teams and just can't flex out against other ones. Even Sully would be struggling today at this point. This team needs to find some energy too - the legs are dead.

The scary thing about this game is it isn't as if Wichita State played great ball. Wichita State is fully capable of making more shots in the second half.

This is pretty much the opposite of Arizona coming out and playing unreal while we just tried to stay close. We played like complete trash and Wichita State played so-so. You have to assume Wichita State shoots a higher percentage in the second half, IMO. Against Arizona I knew they wouldn't suplicate their first half and was confident OSU would play much better. I assume OSU will play much better in the second half, but I'm also assuming Wichita State plays better as well. That combination isn't good enough to overcome a 13 point deficit.

The worst thing..we have handled better teams..this is the Tournament WHY NOW?

Maybe a let down? Maybe it's the Missouri Valley thing?

If it were Kentucky or something, maybe the team would play better? I don't know.

The shots aren't falling. It reminds me of how Wisconsin went out and how Michigan State went out Friday.

when i saw scott shoot that first jumper early in the shot clock, it was evident that either the plan was poorly developed or the players don't care to follow the plan. everything that followed was a validation.

There is no way that is the plan. No freakin way. That's not how you attack a zone at any time.

Honestly I'm less impressed with Wichita then Arizona or Iowa St. We are beating ourselves. Playing dumb basketball. They aren't shooting spectacular and have gotten some lucky breaks. If we can hit our shots and play with intensity we can win this.

That first half was all about effort.

WSU came in thinking they were going to kick Ohio State's ass and they proceeded to do it. Ohio State thought they were going to out athlete this team and they can't. WSU is not intimidated and it shows. They are curb stomping this team and if the Bucks don't come out early and get something going then this game is over. 13 isn't insurmountable, but it's damn close when you're shooting 24%.

Hats off to Amir Williams as he was the most impressive Buckeye on the court in the first half and I had all but written him off.

When Amir's blocks are all we have..not good we were getting beat off the dribble worse than any game this year..

Yep. We've all been waiting on Amir all season long, and the day he shows up big time, the rest of the team goes to Vegas or something.
