I’ve probably forgotten more about the internet than you’ll ever know. The BuckeyePlanet user interface is as bad as I’ve seen in decades of not only using the internet but also in managing a variety of computer networks and designing, analyzing, and advising on logical systems in general.

If there was money to be made in fixing this site, I’d make a fortune. If you’re the prototypical Buckeye fan then I would offer that as evidence why there’s no money to be made in that enterprise.

This is exactly what’s wrong with everything...instead of offering your supposed expertise to pay forward and make something better in service to all Buckeye fans you degrade, insult, and withhold said expertise because it can’t be monetized.

Probably because I’m lazy. I’ve posted on a lot of Buckeye sites over the years. The Rivals site used to be the best because you could use HTML code in your posts but then the assholes from BSB took over and over-moderated it and now that site is dead. Then they took over the Scout site and killed it too. Now Scout merged with 247sports and that interface sucks too. Don’t even get me started on The O-Zone which at least used to be an invitation to all sorts of SPAM and they also had their own problems with self-righteous moderators. It’s a useful site for quick info, not for a meaningful conversation.

Why on God’s green earth would I ever pay a penny for the right to access this or any other sports fan message board? Fuck that noise. They should be paying me for content. I observed, if I didn’t know better after watching the spring game in 2016, that I’d think Joe Burrow was OSU’s starting QB, not JT Barrett or Dwayne Haskins. (I honestly had to think for a moment before calling him “Dwayne Whatshisname.”) If I made the effort, I could show you a post where I advocated for Joe Burrow to be the starting QB in 2018. And I can also show you a post where I told you all years ago that Tate Martell would never win the starting QB job at OSU and that, if he ever finished his college football career in Columbus, it would be at a different position. Fuck all the $9.95-ers.

If you’re paying money to support this site then you should ask yourself if you’re getting your money’s worth. I mean, shouldn’t you at least want the ability to easily update a game thread from the last time you posted? Shouldn’t the “Go to First Unread” button actually take you to the first unread message?

How can we believe you when you spent 6 months trying to convince us that somehow Ped State was a legit rival to Ohio State?

No one is asking you to "fix it". Hell no one even suggested there was some huge systemic issue related to the fact you couldn't navigate a site that is fairly easy to navigate, especially for someone who has been here long than 1 day.
