Yes, Matta is a very good coach and knows exactly what Sylvester gives OSU.
I'm starting to wonder. Not trying to knock Matta, but even the announcers have picked up on the fact that Dials isn't getting enough touches.

how many bricked 3s after 0 passes do you need before you tell a team to stop taking stupid shots and get it inside?

so basically we were just lucky, but there's no chance we're slumping now... got it. There is gonna be a lot of crow to eat if this team pulls it out today. We are not world-beaters, but we're not as bad as this. butler/foster have been uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball today.
to use a Tressel quote, "September is for pretenders. November is for contenders." good teams don't play their worst ball down the stretch. they played far better than i expected this year, and won several games that i thought they should have lost. look, i love these kids, they have a TON of heart, but the same symptoms that were evident when we played VaTech are still there. it just so happened that a month of INCREDIBLE 3-point production hid a lot of those faults.

they have not called many fouls at all when we drive (ie Lewis), however Dials has been getting a ton of whistles. Even if he can't make every shot, we need to keep sending him to the line (and resting our limited lineup).

Havent had opportunity this year to watch our buckeyes much but it is almost deja vu like watching them play and remembering coop's loaded football teams going through the motions during a football game. Seems to me that coops teams always played as if they could turn it on any minute and win the game, often they fell flat in the second half and let the other team close the gap and pull away. Watching the basketball version it just seems to me they play sloppy and without emotion as if they want to look cool out there and their talent alone is enough to win the game for me. shrug

I completely disagree. This team has outperformed almost everyone's expectations. Coop's teams consistently underachieved.
