#6 Xavier +4.5 vs #2 Kansas St (ov/un 153.5) Thurs 9:35 ET

Damn. you guys are all over Jackson. What do you want him to do? He put up a great fake and had a wide open look for a 3. He's been great all season but he came up short this time. Not sure why he's a "moron" for missing a shot in a college basketball game lol

He's a good shooter and that's as good a look as you can ask for.

I know Crawford's a great player, but Jackson had to take that shot. We're not all sitting here saying "holy shit!" because Crawford was making 3s. We're sitting her saying it because he's making 35-foot 3s. Down the stretch, those were the only open shots he was getting because of the way K-State was selling out. If another capable shooter gets a wide open look at a NORMAL three off an over-rotated defense or a double team, he has to take it.

He's not really a moron...

...but when you miss THAT shot, you're gonna take some flak.

I still don't think it was his shot to take. He hadn't made a shot in either OT, and Crawford and Holloway had been draining the tough shots. Wide open or not, he had a pass to make that I think he SHOULD'VE made.

Don't blame him for taking it...

...definitely blame him for missing it

He was as open as you can hope to get. If he passed, he'd be passing out of a wide open shot into a contested one. I don't care how hot your teammates are, you don't do that unless you're a total scrub, which he's not.

If he passes that ball to Crawford or Hollway and they jack up a contested 35footer that doesn't even draw rim, then you're sitting here calling Jackson a moron for passing up the open shot. Soooo what's the guy supposed to do?

Actually, that's my point...

I'd rather see Crawford or Holloway take a contested shot and miss entirely than Jackson to take a WIDE OPEN shot and brick.

I'd've been cool with the guy with the hot hand coming up short...
