BOOOOOOOOM!
The Ohio State Buckeyes got better in a big way Sunday when super-stud defensive tackle Taron Vincent committed to Larry Johnson, Mark Pantoni, Urban Meyer and the Bucks.
OSU’s taken their fair share of licks on the recruiting tail at the defensive tackle position, but no longer.
In Vincent, OSU gets the number one defensive tackle in his class and the number one player from the state of Florida. Vincent grades out as the 14th best player in the entire loaded 2018 class. Vincent’s father Troy was a five-time Pro Bowler in the NFL for the Eagles and is currently Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the league.
Vincent’s recent visit to OSU must have sold him on the package as Florida State was a real factor in his recruitment too. He attended an Ohio State camp a summer ago and was also at Friday Night Lights 2016. IMG Academy, which showcases a lot of the top high school football talent in the country, seems to be rapidly becoming a bit of an OSU recruiting pipeline.
Here’s what Vincent is expected to bring to the Buckeyes when he arrives in Columbus in anticipation of the 2018 football season, courtesy of our friends over at Hudl:
