They are literally insane with a raging arrogance that belies a deep, deep insecurity.
This was posted on an Arkansas board before one of our games*:
* there is some debate about this post - if it's real or not. Regardless of the answer to that question, it's a dead solid representation of the Bama mindset.
They are insufferable.
Hitting anyone from Clem's Son is always a good thing, and will get a "thank you, Sir (or Ma'am)" from those who were raised well.bassbuckeye07;1844436; said:All they knew about Ohio State was Woody hit a Clemson player which they all really respected:(

What is the net-net? How are Tressel and Smith not party to this?

The pages of this thread in between the first twenty and last ten were spent arguing over whether or not OSU should volunteer to essentially turn it into a six game suspension by adding on the bowl game anyway. Then Tressel gave the ultimatum to the players. To me, he's the only one coming out of this without making a fool of himself.
Gene Smith had a really bad presser, but I don't think he showed any grave errors in judgment or compromised the integrity of the program in any way.
In short, I think you should stay on the bandwagon. Some players screwed up, the NCAA sold out its own authority again and Tressel handled it all gracefully.
