My positive is that this almost feels like a bowl game with the 2 weeks off. I'm not one that was buying into the fatigue excuse this year. There were some very tough stretches, but some fans kept harping on that even after the Bucks would have 4 days off and still got showed up.

However, 2 weeks is a decent amount of time. Not enough to magically turn CJ/Dakich into capable ball handlers in the backcourt, but perhaps enough to implement more sets and plenty of time to get some shots up. I do expect a pretty good performance from the Buckeyes on Thursday.

I don't love this match-up but I didn't really like any of the 12 match-ups, so it is what it is. We dealt ourselves this hand by losing to PSU 3 times.

If we can make it past SD St I will be happy, it will be an accomplishment for a team with some very real roster deficiencies. And while Gonzaga is probably the best 4 in the field, I like that we played them once this season already and maybe will bring some lessons from that loss with us. I think we'd make a good game of it, if we get that far.

Yeah, I can see why that is your weakness if you think this is an upset. OSU struggles against teams that have strong, physical defenses. SD State is not a strong defensive team, they do not have power conference athletes and the result is the 7th-worst defense of all teams in the tourney field per KenPom rankings they are #148 in defensive efficiency. They could make it a game, but I am not expecting OSU to lose this one after a little research on the opponent.
