No, he is only popular amongst the 40 something crowds that grew up watching him play and still find his "tuurrible" thing funny and relevant. The rest of the world has moved on from the tired joke and his sloppy analyzing.

He really needs to stick to pro basketball.

I'm glad that Kansas is out of this tournament. A scary good defensive team, very tough to KO when they have their foot on the gas. They let up at the end and made some dumb plays, and it cost them. Burke showed why he deserves NPOY this year, they were dead and he brought them back at the end of regulation. McGary a huge game. Only one #1 seed left in the tourney now.

I keep seeing criticisms of his opinions like people are expecting him to be Ken Pomeroy. Looking to Barkley for analysis is like going to a titty bar for love.

I'm glad scUM won. I lived in Wichita Kansas for 9 years before I came out here last year, and they are the most ignorant and racist fans I've ever seen. I walk into a bar with some friends while KU was playing Arizona a couple years ago, and these fans kept yelling the "n" bomb at Arizona players and calling them "faggots" and "slaves". Then, I move out here to Vegas and watched the opening round at another bar "Twin Peaks" and more of the same, "fags" and "jews" kept coming up. These are kids, and they don't deserve that. Horrible fanbase and glad they lose to scUM.

I have a pretty strong hatred for KU, but I will never be glad with UM winning in anything. No matter who they play, I ALWAYS hope for whoever who is playing against them to win. I won't necessarily root for whoever they're playing against, like tonight for example, but I never want them to win.

That being said, every fan base is going to have it's share of people that will resort to abuse like that. Some obviously will vent that resentment much stronger like the above example & some will have more people partaking in it. I really don't think any fan base as a whole is above doing things like this. The sheer amount of people following sports these days really doesn't allow for it to not take place.

Got no problem with that at all. Not going to bust your chops over it. I want the B1G to do well in post-season play as well, just not UM. Ever. That's just me, but everyone is entitled to feel anyway they want to about it & that's fine by me. I wouldn't try to persuade someone otherwise.

This is what I was alluding to in regards to what EidoloN was talking about in terms of KU fans. How dare they let down this fine patriot, who played a part in there formation as a slave-free state. Driven by fiery passion ? Yes. Batshit crazy ? Absolutely.
