#4 tOSU at Sparty, Thurs 2-25, 9 ET on ESPN

One would think a team that shoots FTs as well as the Buckeyes would be good at finishing games with a lead, but that hasn't been the case four times now.

A dozen turnovers, five fewer assists, outrebounded by 7, little things like that get you beat and it happened again tonight.

Concerned that the Ahrens effect has been figured out and we are back to square one

That makes sense only to yourself - the Ahrens effect?

Bucks lost two physical, close games down the stretch in the toughest conference in the country. No one is back to square one.

Game was over after the last possession that looked more improvised than planned, so might as well get your money's worth and get tossed.

I don't know about that...it was very clearly a clear out and kick situation for DWJ if he doesn't beat his guy, which he did, but then he got bodied and whacked with no call. Which is awful considering what they were calling and not calling all night. Then EJ getting tackled on the inbounds was the last straw. Yeah it was desperation time but holy hell I've seen wrestling matches get stopped for less than that. What were they watching?

I'm not going to launch any conspiracy theories - B1G refs remain the most inconsistent and wildly incompetent within the D-1 basketball landscape, and it'll show itself to be the case again in the NCAAs. Thankfully, I think this team will play better when they are reffed more consistently - they aren't your usual plodding Big Ten team like in years past.

Woke up this morning and yeah...those refs were in for the screw job. Izzo had them in his pocket apparently- curious what he pulled Holtmann back in to say after Coach was leaving the court.

Bucks still had plenty of chances. It was a whole series of events that turned into a messy loss in the end. But if EJ isn’t getting molested most of the night, things definitely end differently. I hate what Izzo’s bigs get away with.
