BOOOOOOOOM!
It’s barely 10 a.m. the morning of Ohio State’s Spring Game and Urban Meyer, Mark Pantoni, and the OSU recruiting braintrust are already at full throttle.
A little more than two and a half hours before the Buckeyes’ annual April scrimmage, the Bucks got the pledge of 4-star Franklin, TN offensive tackle Max Wray.
Wray checks in at 6'6 and a half and 289 pounds. He's currently the fourth highest graded offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite and the third best player from the state of Tennessee. He's the 57th ranked overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class. Wray picked the Buckeyes over offers from a slew of SEC powers, like Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and Tennessee.
With Ed Warinner long since departed from coaching and developing OSU linemen and the Bucks paving a new path under Greg Studrawa, high rated offensive line prospects will certainly make the job of protecting Ohio State’s quarterbacks of the future that much easier.
Courtesy of our friends over at Hudl, here’s video highlights of what Wray will bring to the Buckeyes in 2018 (and beyond):
