#4 Ohio State 63, Michigan State 54 (Final)

I'd much rather play undisciplined Michigan than pesky NW. Oden will dominate Sims down low.

I cant argue with your comment about Sims, but I still think UM is better than NWU. Of course that has nothing to do with who I'd rather play, and I'm comfortable playing both at their home courts frankly.

Great win to pull off.

We still should have blown MSU out, they are not a good basketball team.

It is tough to win on the road. Wisky loses on the road earlier in the week while OSU and Kansas St are the only top 25 teams to win on the road thus far today. Indiana, Oregon, UNC, OK State, VaTech and Clemson all go down on the road today.

MSU fans are coming unhinged... their already substantial hatred for us has, until now, been tempered by their belief that at least their basketball team is better than ours.

Most of the threads on the front page of the Red Cedar Message Board are about how the refs cost them the game by letting Oden foul at will.

And then there's the one about how much Thad Matta sucks--I mean he went and yelled at the REF!!! You can't DO that!

-Great win. They looked like a much more mature team today.

-Good shooting day and thats an ass whipping.

-IIRC Wisky still has to go to Iowa

-once Conley develops a reliable shot he will be illegal

-saw more right hand from Oden, bad news for future opponents. he also looks like he's starting to play with a bit more attitude.

OSU remaining schedule:
scUM
Purdue
@PSU
@Minny
PSU
Wisky
@scUM

Bold indicates regular season B10 championship game :wink2:

I would have an attitude too if everytime i get the ball and try to make a post move i got 3 people hanging on me like i'm a jungle gym. Then on top of it all he didn't get fouled, instead he traveled? HAHA i would play with a bit of attitude too!

I kept waiting for the MSU guard to get hot and we lose by 2 at the buzzer.
Didn't happen because we are now playing defense instead of standing around!

How good will this team become when Oden is 100% and the young guys are playing consistent defense?
But, we're just not there, yet.

And we could make an early departure from the NCAA tournament easily!
That's what bothers me. :smash:

I thought the refs really sucked in this game.
They were letting Oden get hammered all night.

It is simple, Oden's right hand is getting better with each game and you are now seeing glimpses of what he can do when 100% healthy. I have never seen a player impact the game the way he does.

you have great understanding of what he can do by, just being in the game.
They should make a stat called, SCARED TO SHOOT AROUND ODEN

That would triple his blocks and rebounds.:biggrin:

This may seem like a very simplistic post, but I continue to be amazed at how well Oden does the little things. He runs the court well, he catches the ball well (you'd be surprised how many big men have bad hands), and he uses force when necessary. And to think, he is just now getting healthy.
