#4 Illinois at #7 tOSU, Sat 3-6, 4 ET on ESPN

That can’t happen. He’s too inconsistent and slightly predictable. The lack of guard depth on this team is obvious.

Losing Jimmy Sotos in the first game without CJ has hurt this team. He played well in that game before the late shoulder injury.

We also lost graduate transfer point guard Abel Porter to a "non-Covid medical condition" before the season.

We had guard depth in early November.

We haven't scored a point since the last TV time out with 3:46 left.
Or since that stoppage of play to review the shot clock right around then, when we were up 4 and were bringing the ball over mid court. That and a couple of bounces the wrong way killed momentum.

Oof tough loss just because it’s four in a row. I honestly hadn’t expected us to beat Iowa nor Illinois since beating good teams twice in a row is difficult. SCUM-lite loss is the one that hurts the most. Iowa kinda sucked just because of how it happened. SCUM and Illinois were hard fought losses to two potential FF teams so those don’t bother me in a vacuum. If these losses were scattered throughout the season rather than four in a row I probably wouldn’t think twice.

Agreed. Going into the last 8, I would have been okay with going 4-4 in those games. It's stringing the losses together at the end that makes it feel worse. If they'd lost the first 4 and then won these last 4, we'd be riding high about gelling at the right time for the tourney.

The only one who should not have beaten the Buckeyes was Sparty. If the Bucks play like they did vs TTUN our boys will be a tough out in the Dance.

It became the DWJ show when he was running point the last 3-4 minutes.

That's it in a nutshell. He's not a PG. We lost that second Purdue game in similar fashion.

CJ Walker has become the single most important player on the team because PG is where our depth is most depleted.

IMO.. if shots don't fall early, we start to press... when we press we start taking bad shots and HOPE they go in... then we press again...
opposing teams know this and they step up defense early... and again when we start taking bad shots

Until we regain our shooting touch we're in trouble.. our D is not better than our bad shooting...
I expect us to regain our touch when the B1G tourney and NCAA begins... hopefully

I missed this game too, I am blaming this loss on me. I need to stop being selfish on the weekends and stop skiing bomb ass, this is my fault. Fuck all this fresh powder and mountains, I need to get my head right. I apologize everyone, I am going to focus it in and we're not losing again.

So lets win the conference, seems easy.
