After 1 quarter of play, Ole Miss is smelling an upset.

After stalling at the Bama 35, Ole Miss opted to pin Bama deep and trust their defense. Hugh Freeze's opportunistic defense stripped Eddie Lacy and raced 48 yds for the score.

After forcing another punt, Ole Miss again found themselves with 4th & long at their opponents 40. Embolded by their current momentum, they rolled the dice and hit impact WR Donte Moncrief between two defenders. He was demolished but held on.

The crowd in Tuscaloosa is shell shocked as Ole Miss is knocking on the door again, with 1st and 10 at the Bama 23.

Ole Miss QB Bo Wallace had his man open streaking into the endzone but threw it behind him, giving Bama time to close on the ball and pick it off.

On 3rd and long, Eddie Lacy breaks two tackles but tries to do too much and is stripped while juking the third defender, recovered again by MLB Ralph Wilson, this time tackled shortly afterwards.

You can hear a pin drop in here.

Bo Wallace picks his spots much better on this drive, hitting a few key passes (including 3rd & 10), takes off for 5 yds and then audibles to a better running play for his diminutive star RB.

14-0 Ole Miss.

Ole Miss forces a 3 and out. Bama sure misses injured QB AJ McCarron as the true freshman replacement is really struggling.

Ole Miss storms downfield but is picked off in the redzone again. The Rebel D stands tall, forcing a three and out.

Bo Wallace leans on his scat back once more, darting down to the redzone, 1st & 10 at the 16.

Going no huddle, Bama struggles to get into position, shouting and pointing while Ole Miss audibles to something else. Wallace finds Philander Moore over the middle and he races in to take a 2 td lead.

Eddie Lacy redeems himself with a 70 yd scamper on 3rd and long, but Ole Miss runs the half minute drill to perfection, slicing up the Bama secondary once more for six, this time to WR Logan.

Bama hits a few passes underneath but while loading up for the hail mary they are sacked.

28-14 at the half.

Bama's baptism by fire continues as their wide eyed signal caller is picked off on a jump ball down the sideline, returned to the bama 40.

Switching things up, Ole Miss turns to the ground attack, including the QB & FB on dives with sweeps to catch the defense napping.

35-14

Another deep ball into coverage, another pick thrown by the true frosh QB from Bama.

A long, steady, demoralizing drive by Ole Miss, capped off by a 4 yd rush by Mighty Mouse at RB.

42-14.

Bama fans are headed for the exits with tears streaming down their cheeks.

USC makes it 21-14.....

AND HOLY CRAP! USC defense falls alseep as the HB for SDSU runs down the sideline and connects on a 75 TD pass with just :36 left in the half! 28-14 SDSU

And Barkley throws another INT as SDSU settles for a FG at the 2 yd line to make it 31-14 at half, SDSU will get the ball to begin the half, a TD could end the game
