I would like in. What were prior years schedules (for the dynasty members) like? Play head-head games on a set timetable or do we have a week or so to get a game played, then we sim? Is it a fast pace dynasty league where we get through a season in a week or two?

We generally try to advance twice a week, such as Wed and Sun night. More often than not we advance three times per week, sometimes more in the CFB off-season.
If people have complications for a day or two, we wait. Usually we let the two users decide what to do when they can't play, usually the one user volunteers to go on autopilot. If they can't decide, we usually get a few opinions from league members.
The off-season is usually done in one evening, from 830-11ish. Party chat is used and drunkenness is a staple.

Awesome! Sounds like a good time. We could take in more than 12 folks if we do multiple conferences correct? I was thinking that if we are going to all start as coordinators would we all pick one conference first, it could be fun to have 6 guys be in the SEC and 6 in the Big Ten or something like that. Then we could schedule an SEC-Big Ten challenge for Week 1 non-conference games.

the user limit was 12 for online dynasties with custom conferences. I have not seen any indication of that number changing. We have more customizable conferences this year, but not in a way that would change that limit.
The big thing is that when someone drops out, we can adjust the league to compensate. In the past, we had to stick with lopsided conferences if one league suffered some attrition. Our only way to fix it was to restart a new league.
Now we can adjust the conference alignments and such during the dynasty, so if the big ten ends up with twice as many users, we can move a team over. Currently our only option is to change teams. The leagues are stuck.
