I hear your frustrations guys. The thing that is bothering me the most is computer defenders jumping all over the place to knock down passes. I'll have a guy that is 15 yards open and about 30 yards downfield so I throw it to him and then all of the sudden some LB comes from off the screen *flying in* jumps 12 feet in the air and knocks the pass down.
It's driving me freaking crazy. Then it seems like the computer just NEEDS to make stops sometimes and there is nothing you can do on offense. Today in my game i had a first and goal from the 1. I ran a misdirection out of the power I and my fullback didn't pick up his man, he just turned around and looked the other way. I got tackled for a loss of 3 yards. On 2nd down I went 5 wide out of the shotgun, the slot receiver was wide open on a slant (seems like they are every single play) QB overthrows him by damn near 10 yards. 3rd down I run the same play, WR wide open, ball gets knocked down by a D linemen who jumps 10 feet in the air. (I felt like John Navarre
)
Another thing I didn't really notice that much in this OD, but one of my other ones is the pressure the computer gets when they want. It's unbelievable. I am Texas A&M, I was playing Louisiana Tech. The computer had 9 sacks! One guy had 4 of them! Didn't matter how many men I put on the line, they were getting instant pressure.
I think I'm going to start taping ridiculous plays. I've played this game for years, I've always been good at it, but it seems to take a turn for the worse every year. I'm sick of EA adding features nobody really cares about except for the casual fans. They are talking about adding cheerleading chants for 2012, there is a thread on EA's forums asking what cheerleading chants should be added... really guys?!?!?
Maybe they should just make two versions of the game? One for the hardcore players like us and then one for the casual players. It's just frustrating seeing gameplay not be focused on so EA can add handtowels and windsocks to the game.
Sorry if I'm ranting.
