That was a great game...back and forth with everything you could want. Big plays, turnovers, defensive stops, and a dramatic finish. It took a batted down pass in the end zone to secure the win for Baylor.

All done while missing my star senior QB Florence for the past 3 weeks. Sophomore Bryce Petty did more than an admirable job in a starting role, completing 17 of his 24 passes for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns (1 rushing), enough to earn himself POTG honors in this year's Orange Bowl.

Maryland's star tailback Porzel gashed Baylor for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns, in what may have been his final game as a Terrapin. If it wasn't, have mercy on the ACC, as the 96 speed 99 acceleration redshirt junior has the ability to dominate next year.

With this win, Baylor wraps up another 11+ win season, their third in a row. As it stands now, they also have attracted the #2 recruiting class in the country with signing day announcements still pending. It is rumored that Baylor is planning a switch to the 4-2-5 defense, as evidenced by their heavy recruitment of defensive backs as of late. It would be a welcome change to a team that has seen its defense routinely ranked among the bottom of the nations Division I schools. If Baylor can pair a competent defense to go along with their already explosive offense, they will truly be a national power to be reckoned with.

Porzel is coming back... He told me already... :wink2:

I will be devastated if he decides to go pro. I need him next season. Maryland is going to be nasty next season. nasty.

In other news... I have some more travel coming up. SU-UCKS. I am leaving Monday morning for Camp Lejeune NC and will be back Friday evening. As far as scheduling goes, hopefully we can work my user games outside of that and I will pray that my boys show up against the CPU. Or y'all can wait for me haha... In March, I will be in Cali from the 7th through the 18th. I plan on taking my xbox on that trip as I know the hotels I will be staying in have a good enough connection for me to play my games on the road.

I am going to be seriously bummed if I have to miss a big portion of this upcoming season. I really think I will have a chance to get to the big one. Then again, outside of Porzel, There aren't many seniors in next years class. Most of my roster are Frosh, RS Frosh and Soph's

my defenders still have nightmares about that HB

 true that...when we started I had commented to Gomer how fast that RB was, and he said yeah but he doesnt break many tackles. Good god was Gomer wrong. The little white guy slashed with speed and ran over my LBs like they were midgets. we had some good laughs about that.

You have to admire a kid like Broadway. He turned down other offers to redshirt behind keenum and run our scout team. I recruited him to be the face of our dynasty, never dreaming I could land another QB like Williams so soon.

All the kid does is go to class, lead a bible study, lead his team to a perfect record and championship as redshirt freshman, and suddenly he finds himself on the bench.

I told him after the first game that I wanted him to stay but would be behind him 100% whatever he decided to do. He laughed and told me he was here to finish what he started and was a cougar for life.

He could have transferred to 116 schools in the summer and started a year later.

Instead he sacrificed his pt and glory for the team.

And at the end of year 3, he is still undefeated with two NCs, two BCS MVP trophies and a real shot to sunset the Walter camp winner.

Was I surprised? No, Broadway has always had ice in his veins and that infectious smile. He rescued us twice earlier this season when Williams was knocked out of the game.

We are still doing the full thing tomorrow night, folks are not free tonight, but let's see if we can knock out players leaving to save some time.
